Alberta Pork beginning 2026 with Regional Meetings (Charlotte Shipp)

They are a small, yet important branch on the Agriculture tree, that heads into 2026 with ideas.

Alberta Pork is beginning a series of Regional Meetings, with the first being Monday in Grande Prairie.

The meeting will be focusing on priorities, the work underway to strengthen the industry, and to spend time connecting with fellow producers.

While officials say the bulk of pork producers are in the south, the ideas of expansion of markets in the North, has optimism flowing within the Provincial body.

Heading into 2026, the organization is hoping to continue to drive growth and create a positive future for Alberta’s pork industry, one that benefits producers, communities, consumers, and the environment.
