On May 13th, Wabasca RCMP safely arrested a man wanted on Canada-wide warrants connected to an armed robbery investigation out of Edmonton.
Police located 34-year-old David Nelson St. Cyr around 10:30 Wednesday morning.
Due to concerns for public safety, officers established a containment area and evacuated nearby businesses as a precaution.
Just before 2 p.m., St. Cyr was taken into custody without incident.
He now faces additional charges, including break and enter, theft of a motor vehicle, and obstructing a peace officer.
St. Cyr remains in custody and is scheduled for a bail hearing on May 19th through CCTV in Red Earth Creek and Edmonton.
