Residents of the Hamlet of Grouard are being advised of water service disruptions and a boil water advisory as Big Lakes County Utilities prepares for a paving project in the community.
Big Lakes County says several water valves in the roadway will be replaced beginning Monday, May 25.
Water service to the entire hamlet will be shut off starting at 9am on Monday, May 25 and is expected to remain off for the day.
On Tuesday, May 26, residents may continue to experience full outages or localized service disruptions in certain areas. Localized disruptions could also continue into Wednesday, May 27.
At the same time, a boil water advisory for the entire hamlet will take effect Monday at 9am and remain in place until further notice.
Meanwhile, the Grouard truckfill will be closed Monday and Tuesday but will be open on Wednesday, May 27. Officials note the truckfill is not affected by the boil water advisory, meaning residents using water from the truckfill will not need to boil their water.
