A stolen property case in Peace River court has ended with one accused receiving a jail sentence and charges against another being withdrawn, according to Alberta Justice.

Three charges of possession of stolen property against Carlamae Evelyn Underwood of Nampa were withdrawn on May 6 in Peace River court.

Earlier this year, Richard James William Frey, also from Nampa, pleaded guilty to possession of stolen property and operating a vehicle while prohibited. In March, he was sentenced to 120 days in jail on the stolen property charge and a concurrent 90-day sentence on the driving offence.

The charges stem from an investigation by Peace Regional RCMP on Dec. 2, 2025, after officers responded to a report of a suspicious truck carrying steel pipe. Police later recovered two stolen vehicles, and two suspects were charged.
