A 32-year-old man from Red Earth Creek is facing drug trafficking charges after an RCMP traffic stop earlier this month.
Police say officers on proactive patrols on May 3 spotted a driver operating a vehicle while suspended.
When RCMP attempted a traffic stop, the vehicle sped away at a high rate of speed before being found abandoned nearby.
Officers arrested the suspect and allegedly discovered methamphetamine during a search.
A warrant executed on the vehicle led to the seizure of roughly 334 grams of methamphetamine, nearly 2-thousand dollars in cash, and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
Tyler Cowan has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and flight from police.
He appeared in court on May 19.
