During multiple newscasts from during the day on Friday, June 23, 2017, we ran a story in regards to a racist tweet an Alberta Health Services (AHS) official sent in a complained to an official from Kainai First Nation’s Board of Education. We then quoted what the official said on our airwaves.
While the quote was released by AHS prior to our running the story, we were not right to repeat it over our airwaves.
On behalf of the Trending 55 Newsroom, we apologize for repeating the quote, and rest assured, it won’t happen again.
