The Alberta Canola Producers Commission (ACP) is holding its Powering Your Profits tour throughout the month of November.
The seminars are offering producers the chance to get all the Agronomy, Marketing and Management information needed to make your operation profitable.
It’s being offered in 12 locations throughout the province, including three that are happening next week within the Peace Country.
In this region, guest speakers include Mike Jubinville, a senior Analyst from ProFarmer Canada. His presentation is entitled Seeing the Forest for the Trees. Another speaker includes Merle Good, a Farm Management Advisor for GRS Limited. He’ll be providing an update on proposed changes to Federal Tax Laws.
Next up is Clint Jurke, the Agronomy Director for the Canola Council of Canada. He’ll be discussing the recent emergence of clubroot in the Peace, and what producers can do about it.
And finally, Scott Meers, an Insect Management Specialist for Alberta Agriculture & Forestry (AF), will do his presentation, entitled A Bug’s Life… North of 55.
The first Peace Country event will happen at the Dunvegan Fairview on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 9 AM. The second one goes the next day at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Falher, while the third one goes at the Five Mile Hall east of Grande Prairie on November 23. Like the event in Fairview, both events are set to begin at 9 AM.
Pre-registration is required to attend all three events. Move information can be found by clicking here.
As well, each event will also see the ACP provide an update on all of their current activities.
