The Town of Peace River has passed its Interim 2018 Budget.
As it only covers the first part of 2018, the amount of money budgeted so far is exactly half of what was budgeted for each department in 2017.
But as such, Mayor Tom Tarpey says the 2018 operational and capital budgets should be passed by the end of February.
“The passing of the interim budget allows us to operate until a permanent one is passed,” said Tarpey. “At this point, we’re still in deliberations for the budget in 2018.”
