The 12th Annual Hair for a Cure event is coming up in Peace River. It’ll be taking place March 27th at the town’s Riverdrive Mall. While the group has raised over 200 thousand dollars over the years, they are not setting any specific target for fundraising this year. Organizer Mike Farrow says they simply want to support people with cancer, as well as their families. Farrow also mentioned they’ve won the Canadian Cancer Society Community Impact Award. He says the award recognizes a community or group who consistently supports the Canadian Cancer Society, as well as the community that they live in. To register for this event, you can pick up your registration forms at Peace River Broadcasting, Moe’s Hair Design, or Caribou Cresting.
