Big Lakes County is asking people to avoid rivers, valleys and low lying areas.
According to a media release from the county, large amounts of waters from various streams and rivers is causing overland flooding of low lying areas throughout the region.
Big Lakes officials are also urging people not to drive through barricaded areas.
Several roads throughout the county have been affected and if you see any flooded areas during your travels without a barricade, call their office at 780-523-5955.
