Grande Prairie RCMP advise public of stolen police uniform and equipment – Update #3
On March 16, 2022, at approximately 10:41 p.m., Grande Prairie RCMP attempted to stop a stolen vehicle when it fled from police. A female was subsequently arrested, however the male suspect, David Pinfield, stole an unmarked police car and fled. The next day, Pinfield arrested without incident.
David Pinfield (31) of Valleyview, Alta., has been charged with the following offences:
· Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
· Flight from police
· Possession of stolen property x2
· Resist arrest
· Theft of motor vehicle
· Break and enter
· Theft over $5,000
Pinfield appeared in Grande Prairie Provincial Court on March 21, 2022 and has been remanded into custody for court on April 4, 2022.
The female who was arrested at the scene has been identified as Sara Desjarlais (29) of Grande Prairie. Desjarlais has been charged with the following offences:
· Robbery
· Possession of stolen property
· Assault on a police officer with a weapon
· Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
Desjarlais was released from custody on conditions and is scheduled to appear on April 20, 2022 at Grande Prairie Provincial Court.

The RCMP jacket and hard body armour have been recovered, however the 40 mm extended range impact weapon is still outstanding. Although this is a non-lethal weapon, it can still cause serious harm should it be deployed in close proximity.

Grande Prairie RCMP advise public of stolen police uniform and equipment – Update
Grande Prairie, Alta – Grand Prairie RCMP wish to alert the public that they have identified the suspect in this investigation to be David Pinfield (31) of Valleyview, Alta. Pinfield is wanted on outstanding warrants and should be considered armed.
David Pinfield is described as:
· Light skin
· Approximately 6’0 and 210 pounds
· Brown hair and blue eyes
Attached are pictures of the police equipment which was stolen, as well as pictures of Pinfield. Please note that the 40 mm Extended Range Impact Weapon is a non-lethal weapon, however can still cause serious harm should it be deployed in close proximity.

Grande Prairie RCMP advise public of stolen police uniform and equipment
Grande Prairie, Alta. – On March 16, 2022, at approximately 10:41 p.m., Grande Prairie RCMP located a vehicle in the area of 162 Avenue and 102 Street in Grande Prairie with a male and female occupant that had been report to stolen.
Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, however the vehicle attempted to flee and ended up driving off the road. Officers approached the vehicle and a female was arrested. A male fled the vehicle on foot and was able to enter a nearby unsecured police vehicle and subsequently drove away.
The police vehicle was recovered, however several items were taken from the vehicle including the following:
· RCMP patrol jacket
· RCMP toque
· Handcuffs
· Hard body armour
· 40 mm Extended Range Impact Weapon
Further investigation revealed the male allegedly stole another vehicle in the Spirit River area, Alta. The vehicle is described as a brown 2019 Jeep Grande Cherokee with Alberta licence plate CCB 0087.
Grande Prairie RCMP continue to investigation and search for the stolen vehicle and suspect.
