Fires in the area have forced people in Little Buffalo out of their homes.
A mandatory evacuation order was issued on Friday night and people have been directed to several evacuation zones.
RCMP and other Emergency Responders went door to door to notify residents of the evacuation.
Peace Regional RCMP says the fire grew rapidly because of high winds.
According to reports, the fire had jumped the highway and residents had no access to the Peace River area, meaning people had to evacuate towards the Red Earth Creek area.
