  1. High Prairie RCMP are looking for a missing man.
    Everett Lamarche was last seen leaving the hospital in High Prairie just after 1 a.m. yesterday. (Detail on App)
  2. No Doctor in Fairview today and tonight. The Fairview Health Complex Emergency Department does have nurses on-site for triage and assessments.
    This marks the 9th time in the last 45 days that no Doctor is on site in town.
  3. RCMP and the ALERT team have five gang members in custody from Wabasca on drugs and weapons charges.
    The four men and one woman were members of the ASAP gang in the Wabasca-Desmarais area, and were arrested during traffic stops earlier this month.
  4. The Peace River High School Career Fair offered up a variety of options from colleges and universities to trades, to jobs.
    Gill McLeod of Peace River High School says the event was good, despite other events going on in the region.
  5. The Alberta government has released another draft social studies curriculum and outline that proposes Canadian and global history, ancient civilizations, economics, and the inner workings of political parties.
  6. The province’s annual budget, includes $1 billion over three years to transform the continuing care system.
    An additional $650 million will be spent on creating or improving more than 1,600 spaces.
  7. NWJHL Finals this weekend… La Crete is in Fort St. John. Game one is tonight, Game 2 is tomorrow, Game 3 is Sunday.
  8. NPHL Finals this weekend… Spirit River is in Falher tomorrow, the Pirates lead 2-0.
  9. NJHL playoffs this weekend… The High Prairie Red Wings play tonight at home to Gibbons, and tomorrow in Gibbons in the first two games of their semi-final series.
  10. AJHL this weekend… The Grande Prairie Storm play tonioght and tomorrow in Calgary in the first two games of their quarter-final series.
  11. Two games tonight in the NHL…. Anaheim is in Winnipeg and LA is in Chicago.

    The good news… enjoy the weekend as it will almost be like summer. The bad news… winter comes back next week.
