Alberta NDP members have begun casting their ballots for who will be the next leader of the party.
Voting will take place until June 22, that’s when the next leader will be announced.
Back in January, Rachel Notley announced that she would step down as leader of the Alberta NDP when a successor is selected.
Notley has been the leader of the NDP since 2014 and served as the province’s premier from 2015 to 2019.
Party members have four options to choose from in the leadership race, Jodi Calahoo Stonehouse who is the MLA for Edmonton-Rutherford, Kathleen Ganley who is the MLA for Calgary-Mountain View and also a former Justice Minister for the province, Sarah Hoffman who is the MLA for Edmonton-Glenora and also the former Deputy Premier and Health Minister, and Naheed Nenshi who is the former mayor of the City of Calgary.
