Yes folks, the Fairview Health Complex Emergency Department will not have physician coverage on-site today, and also tomorrow and on Thursday.
Staff will remain on-site to provide urgent triage and assessment and referrals for patients to alternate emergency departments, and 911 callers with medical emergency situations will be re-routed to neighbouring facilities.
Some elected officials in the Fairview area have previously told the Newsroom that some new doctors would be coming to the community this summer.
