- RCMP are continuing to investigate a fatal crash that happened on Highway 2 near Sucker Creek on Saturday.
Initial investigations reveal that some motorcycles riders were travelling in one large group when an oncoming semi truck crossed over the center-line striking the riders.
Two people were killed, a man from Driftpile and another person from Edmonton, while several others were injured. - Officials are investigating a place crash that happened near Fort Vermilion on Saturday night.
RCMP say the plane went down in a field northwest of the community. The pilot and sole occupant of the plane was killed. - Students in the Peace and Mackenzie regions are heading back to class for the new school year today.
