Town of Falher – Organizational Meeting
On October 8th, the Town of Falher held their Annual Organizational Meeting. Councillor Donna Buchinski was elected by Council to remain as the Chief Elected Official (Mayor), and Councillor Lindsay Brown was elected to remain as Deputy Chief Elected Official (Deputy Mayor).
Town of Falher – Municipal Census Results
The Town of Falher’s Census reveals a total population of 1,039 individuals.
In addition to a total counted population of 991, the Town of Falher used Municipal Affairs’ method for counting non-contacted dwellings for an estimate of 48 other persons.
Big Lakes County – Asphalt Road Maintenance
The Big Lakes County Transportation Department will conduct asphalt road maintenance in each of our five hamlets and throughout the municipality beginning on October 29th and continuing for the next few weeks as weather permits.

MD of Peace Organizational Meeting
Council held their organizational meeting where Robert Willing was elected as Reeve and Sandra Eastman as Deputy Reeve. Council also set council meeting dates, reviewed the remuneration schedule, and appointed Councillors to various committees. Council also adopted its newly developed vision statement “Progressive. Prosperous. Peaceful” and mission statement “Providing accountable leadership for exceptional quality of life.”
