  3. The Provincial Government is improving and expanding access to glucose monitors for people in the Peace Region living with diabetes, or pre-diabetes.
    The expansion of coverage includes access to technology, where residents can gain use to continuous glucose monitors, thus eliminating the use of test strips to manage blood-sugar.
  4. The NHL gets back underway after the Christmas Break tonight with eight games. However, just one Canadian team is in action… Toronto is in Detroit.
  5. World Junior Hockey Championships in Ottawa. Canada plays their second game of the tournament against Latvia.
  6. Very light snow is in the forecast for Northwestern Alberta for today. Highs are at the Freezing mark, with lows tonight between -5 and -10.
    Skies will generally remain cloudy, except for the Big Lakes, who will see the sunshine, heading into next week. But, the temps do cool off to where extra layers are needed to ring in 2025.
