The Municipal District of Greenview Council has approved the 2025 operating and capital budgets, emphasizing infrastructure development, community services, and regional partnerships.
The $237.9 million operating budget includes $108.5 million for general operations, $24.9 million for amortization, $62.5 million in transfers to reserves and capital, and $41.9 million in requisitions, such as provincial education and seniors’ foundations.
Additionally, $12.4 million is allocated to municipal partners and non-profits through Community Services Grants, supporting libraries, museums, community halls, and cemeteries.
The $100.5 million capital budget, fully funded through various sources, covers projects like the Grande Cache Sewage Treatment Plant ($20.8 million), Township Road 692 regrade ($1.4 million), and a new operations shop in Grande Cache ($6.8 million).
