
On June 28, 2025, at approximately 8:45 a.m., Fox Lake RCMP a traffic stop in the community of Fox Lake after observing a vehicle displaying a mismatched license plate.
The investigation revealed that the vehicle lacked proper insurance and registration, and the license plate belonged to a deceased individual.
Additionally, the driver did not possess a valid driver’s license.
Upon searching the vehicle, officers discovered two duffle bags 124 unopened bottles of Red Tassel Vodka, with an estimated street value of $9,920.
The driver was issued three tickets under the Traffic Safety Act, and the investigation into the substantial amount of alcohol is ongoing.
Cpl. Michael Heysa of the Fox Lake RCMP stated, “Fox Lake remains committed to addressing the harmful impacts alcohol can have on the wellbeing and safety of our community.”
