
In Budget 2025, the Alberta government introduced a new 8% personal income tax for income up to $60,000.
That’s a reduction from the previous 10% rate is expected to save individual taxpayers up to $750 annually and two-income families up to $1,500.
The tax cut is projected to save Albertans approximately $1.2 billion in 2025, with savings increasing to $1.4 billion by 2028.
Most taxpayers will notice increased take-home pay starting this month as payroll withholdings are adjusted.
