  1. The town of High Level is forming a Task Force for reliable Air Service in the Mackenzie Region.
    McAteer suggested the committee include economic development personnel, someone from healthcare, an Indigenous representative, and members from council.
  2. From the RCMP’s Weekly Wanted File, police are looking for Chad Raymond Costello.
    His last known whereabouts was in Grande Prairie, and is noted for activities in GP, Rycroft, Bezanson, Evansburg, and Edmonton.
  3. New Senior’s Lodging could be coming to Fort Vermilion.
    The Metis Nation of Alberta and the Fort Vermilion and Area Seniors and Elders Lodge Boardhave signed a Memorandum of Understanding to explore partnerships and opportunities.
    The end goal would see a facility with 26 Designated Supportive Living beds, 13 lodge beds, 3 guest beds, as well as 6 tiny homes.
  4. The Dixonville Chartered School Society has created a logo and received applications to submit to Alberta Education, to open the Dixonville Rural Academy.
    The Society is also meeting with the Peace River School Division to discuss the use of the School building.

    The other series is Manning and Grande Prairie, and that starts tomorrow.
  7. The Toronto Blue Jays have the day off today to fly to Sacremento. The Jays start a three-game weekend set with the A’s tomorrow.
  8. Canada’s Men’s Socer team is moving up the FIFA rankings. Canada is ranked #28, this after reaching the quarter-finals of the CONCACAF Gold Cup, recently.
    Canada’s Women’s team is ranked #8, this after losing 3-0 to the USA in a friendly in Washington DC a week-and-a-half ago.
