Greenview Council has declared an agricultural disaster for the livestock industry amid continued extreme dry conditions, minimal runoff, and severe grasshopper infestations.
While some areas received rain, many parts of the MD are nearing critical thresholds.
The drought, ongoing since 2024, has hit livestock producers especially hard. Council is also sending a letter to key provincial and federal stakeholders to raise awareness and advocate for support as the region grapples with worsening conditions.
