On October 20, 2025, Valleyview RCMP arrested 29-year-old Jeneva Chowace for allegedly assaulting a complainant with a firearm, despite being under conditions prohibiting firearm possession.
Chowace faces nine charges, including possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault with a weapon, resisting arrest, failure to comply with an order, and possession a firearm while prohibited.
She has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear before the Alberta Court of Justice in Grande Prairie on October 23, 2025.
