  1. Winter is back in the Northwest, which is prompting officials to remind drivers to be careful on the road.
    Specifically, school divisions, who are saying to obey the red lights on school busses.
  2. Northern Sunrise County is contributing to the Transportation fund of the Sagitawa Friendship Society.
    $25,000 has been earmarked for the support of services for the Mobile Outreach Street Team program.
  3. The town of High Level has approved re-zoning for future infrastructure.
    Council has approved the re-zoning to allow the development of a truck stop, fuel station, convenience store, and motel.
  4. Premier Danielle Smith is telling Albertans to “brace themselves” for a challenging fiscal outlook as the province prepares for a televised address this Thursday, just one week before the budget is tabled.
  5. The province has secured a roughly $400-million agreement with De Havilland Aircraft of Canada to acquire five new Canadair 515 amphibious firefighting aircraft—planes that will be built in Alberta.

  8. Cold Warnings are continuing to blanket Northwestern Alberta right now.
    Highs this afternoon are in the -20’s with windchills well into the -30’s , and even pushing -40 tonight. The snow ends this afternoon as well, with the wind also dying down.
