ABP Calling for Nominations for Environmental Stewardship Award

The Alberta Beef Producers (ABP) is asking for nominations for the 2018 Environmental Stewardship Award (ESA).

According to a news release, the award recognizes cattle producers whose natural resource stewardship practices contribute to the environment, while enhancing productivity and profitability.

ABP is asking producers to share the unique environmental practices happening within their respective operations, and to present the positive story about cattle producers’ contribution to the environment.

Forms must be completed by Saturday, July 15, 2017. Each form received will be reviewed by ABP delegates, last year’s winner, and an industry associate.

Nomination forms can be found at http://albertabeef.org/uploads/CallforNominationspdf-658.pdf.

The winner will be announced in December 2017. The lucky person will receive a commemorative gate sign, a video highlighting their ranching operation, and an all-expenses paid trip from anywhere in Alberta to the 2017 ABP Annual General Meeting in Calgary, where the award will be presented.
