
The Alberta and federal governments have come to an agreement for a $10 per day child care deal.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says the deal will become a reality in five years time.
The Prime Minister also says while there have been disagreements between the two governing bodies; they are able to work on things that matter most to people, such as the child care deal.
Premier Jason Kenney says the deal will give Albertans the choice; coverings some costs for preschools, daycares and licensed day homes.
The program now has all but Ontario and New Brunswick on board, which covers 60% of all Canadian children.
Kenney says in the next five years the province plans on adding 42,500 additional spaces in non-profit, licensed day homes and child care.
Trudeau notes Albertans can expect child care costs to be cut in half by the end of next year.
