ATB Financial says lots of Albertans were busy eating and drinking at their local restaurant, pub or fast food joint. The bank says while monthly increases were small; it was enough to lift total receipts to record highs. In November of last year, Albertans spent a total of $745 million in drinking and eating out. While it was only up 0.3 percent from October, ATB says it was up 6 percent year over year. And due to low oil prices, the survey also says the rate of increase has slowed. The year before, spending actually went up 7.5 percent.
