Peace River School Division Superintendent, Paul Bennett is today’s guest on the Trending 55 Hot Seat. Like the Northland School Division and the Conseil Scolaire du Nord-Ouest, the PRSD will not be piloting the Kindergarten-Grade 6 draft curriculum put forward by the Alberta Government.
“After a careful review of the curriculum, we have decided we will not participate in piloting any of the new curriculum during the next school year” says Bennett in a statement on the division’s website.
“In addition to concerns with the new K-6 curriculum, we are also very reluctant to add extra stress to our students and staff during an already very stressful time.”
