A big donation from the Rotary Club in Grande Prairie will be used to restore the D Company, or D Coy, Armouries building.
The club is pledging $1.8 million from their Dream Home Lottery to restore the building into a community hub.
The plan is to have new classrooms and boardrooms in the building to be used by community groups and not-for-profits.
Several groups use the building currently.
As of now, there is no set start date for the project.
