BIG LAKES COUNTY
Big Lakes County appointed William Lesiuk as Fire Guardian for the County.
He would act as the Forest Officer, on behalf of the County.
He would also be issuing Fire Permits for the season.
Big Lakes also approved a $45,000 budget adjustment for the replacement of the four-point hoist at the shop.
The money would come from the General Transportation Reserve.
TOWN OF MANNING
Manning Town Council has approved the shutting down of 4th. Ave. SW in July.
The Battle River Ag. Society is proposing a Block Party on the street, between 1A street and the Highway on Friday, July 22nd.
The event would be part of the Ag. Society’s 70th anniversary rodeo.
Council has also approved support of the Circus Funtastic coming to town on Monday June 13th.
The letter of support would be in favour, if the organization chose to rent out the Manning arena.
