The senior men’s and women’s Glenmary Saints basketball teams are gearing up for Provincials this coming weekend.
Both teams won the gold medal games at the NWASAA 2A Zones, both against La Crete to advance to the ASAA 2A Provincials.
Paige Massier of the women’s team was awarded the finals tournament MVP at Zones.
The senior men’s team went undefeated in the regular season 26-0, as well as winning all six tournaments they attended.
2A Provincials for the men are being held at the Bearspaw Christian School in Calgary and Oilfields High School in Black Diamond for the women.
The Saints women are ranked third and the men are seventh in provincial standings heading into their final tournament of the season.
The 2A Provincial Championships starts Thursday, March 17 and wraps up on Saturday, March 19, 2022.
