The Brownvale Community Club is pleased to report that the Government of Alberta has approved an $80,000 grant through the Community Facility Enhancement Program for renovations at the Brownvale Community Centre. In addition to the $80,000 grant from the Government of Alberta, the MD of Peace No. 135 has agreed to provide $40,000 in funding towards the renovation project. The Community Club will fund the remaining $40,000.
The $160,000 renovation project will include the replacement of the existing roof system on the community hall with a new spray foam system, the replacement of the existing ceiling tiles with new fire-resistant ceiling tiles, and the application of thermal insulation on the interior of the cinder block walls. It is anticipated that the renovation project will start by May 15, 2025, and be completed by June 30, 2025.
