Charges Laid In Drug Trafficking Investigation

A drug trafficking investigation involving RCMP officers from Slave Lake and Faust and also the Lakeshore Regional Police Service has lead to some charges being laid.

Officers executed a search warrant on a suspected drug house in Slave Lake and seized drugs believed to be Methamphetamine, Cocaine and MDMA along with some drug trafficking paraphernalia and other items.

Gordon Elwyn Macdonald (36), a resident of Slave Lake, was charged with the following:

– Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (x4)
– Selling tobacco products
– Trafficking in property obtained by crime
– Fail to comply with release order condition (x2)
– Possession of a Weapon contrary to order (x6)

He’s schedule to make a court appearance in Slave Lake today.
