Town of Peace River
- Proposed Motion: moved that Council give third read which amends Land Use Bylaw No.
1891 by restricting Residential 1-A to Residential Two Family was accepted. - Council accepted the capital project update regarding asphalt overlay and concrete
repair, for overlay of a portion of 91st street in Lower West Peace, and six
patch repairs at locations in the Downtown, on the West Hill and in the North End. - Council has approved $294,000 for the Main Street Concrete Repair Project.
The scope of the project includes replacement of an estimated 1520m of brick, or failed concrete
sidewalk, on 100 Street from 96 Avenue to 102 Avenue, and on 102 Avenue from 100 Street and 101
Street over three years (2023 to 2025).
The project also includes street tree replacement, storm catch basin repairs and para ramp repairs where required. - Council accepted the update regarding 101st Street Storm Sewer Repairs and Slide Mitigation, for information.
- Council has approved to re instate the position for a ” Director of Protective Services” for the 2024 year. This position will directly interact and work with the RCMP community resource officer, and Sagitawa mobile outreach unit once it becomes operational.
