In the North Zone, there are 8,619 cases of COVID-19 and 80 people have passed away, including one person in the latest update.

There are currently 1,612 active cases in our zone with 151 in Big Lakes County, 89 in the MD of Peace, 77 in the MD of Greenview, 64 in Northern Sunrise County,  28 in Mackenzie County, five in the MD of Spirit River and Saddle Hills County, while all other jurisdictions in our area have four or less active cases.

AHS is reporting that 99,412 people have recovered from the virus.

This means that there are currently 12,838 active cases across Alerta.

Outbreaks have been declared at the following facilities:

  • Heimstaed Lodge, LaCrete

To help slow spread or ease fear of catching COVID-19, the government recommends washing your hands for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching the face.

The Government of Alberta also made masks mandatory indoors
