A downed power line in the Peace River that currently poses a danger to any boat that passes the river crossing area.
- ATCO is asking residents in the area to avoid boating along the Peace River crossing, at an area 3km downstream of Many Islands and 23km east of Silver Valley due to a downed power line in the river.
- The downed line (a large steel cable) in the river, poses a safety hazard to boaters. Please exert caution and avoid this area if possible. This damage has not impacted electricity supply to area residents.
- ATCO thanks you for your patience as our crews will be out repairing the line as safely and quickly as possible.
