Options are becoming more limited for businesses to access emergency funding. The Community Futures Northwest Alberta has been flooded with applications for grants through the Regional Relief and Recovery Fund and the program is now oversubscribed.
The RRRF in is partnership with the Government of Canada and recently expanded the program for additional funding of up to $20,000 for businesses and non-profits that had already received up to $40,000. Through the RRRF program, new eligible applicants can now receive up to $60,000 in support.
Businesses are only eligible for the RRRF through Community Futures if they have not already received or been approved for emergency funding with the Canada Emergency Business Account or the Emergency Loan Program delivered through Aboriginal Financial Institutions.
Community Futures Northwest Alberta will still be taking applications and keeping them active in case more funding becomes available.
