Come celebrate the Peace River Correctional Center’s 50th anniversary in conjunction with recognizing National Aboriginal day June 15 from 11 am to 2 pm at the Correctional Center on Shaftesbury Trail. There will be speeches from dignitary’s, a presentation by teh Peace River Museum, along with a blessing of the National Commemorative marker, correctional demonstrations and numerous displays, traditional dancing display by the Blackstone Dancers and activities for the kids: bouncy castles, snow cones and cotton candy.
The next day, June 16th, come back from noon to 5 pm for the more during the 2nd annual lawn mower races.
Both days the center will be accepting donations of non perishable food items for the Peace River Food Bank.
