Annual Organizational Meeting: Town council held their annual organizational meeting, where they decided which committees, boards, and commissions the councillors will participate in. Councillors serve on a variety of local and joint organizations, such as Recreation Advisory, Economic Development, and more. Councillors also belong to joint organizations with other municipalities such as the North Peace Housing Foundation, Peace Regional Economic Development Alliance, North Peace Regional Landfill Commission, Fairview Public Library Board, and Health Professional Enhancement Committee. From time-to-time members at large are requested to participate on these organizations. If you’ve ever thought about getting involved in municipal governance, consider joining as a member-at-large on one of these committees!
