Fairview RCMP lay charges in arson file

Fairview, Alta. – On April 25, 2024, Fairview RCMP responded to a report of multiple residential fires in the area of 108 Avenue, in Fairview.

Fairview RCMP attended and assisted Fairview Fire Department as needed, and ensured the safety of persons from the homes.  Fairview’s Victim Services Unit also attended to assist.

Fairview RCMP requested the assistance of an arson investigator and community members with determining the cause of the fire.

On Jan. 14, 2025, Fairview RCMP charged Blake Everett Lee (48), a resident of Fairview, with:

  • Arson for fraudulent purpose
  • Arson: Recklessly cause damage by fire x2
  • Warrant (Fairview): Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Warrant (Fairview): Uttering threats

Lee was brought before a Justice of the Peace, where he was remanded with a court date of Feb. 12, 2025, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Fairview.
