Fairview RCMP investigate fatal motor vehicle collision
Fairview, Alta. – On May 31, 2023, 8:30 a.m., Fairview RCMP responded to a two vehicle collision directly outside the Fairview Detachment. Early investigation has revealed that a passenger car was traveling at a high rate of speed in the 30 km/h zone when it collided head on with a pickup truck pulling a trailer. The driver of the car who has been identified as a 30-year-old resident of Grande Prairie, was located deceased. The occupants of the pick up, a 29-year-old woman, and her 1 year old son, both residents of the Berwyn area, were airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
RCMP continue to investigate the circumstances of this tragic event.
