Fatal House Fire in Cadotte Lake Results in Charges Against Two Men

Two men are facing manslaughter charges following the fatal house fire that occurred on May 9, 2017 in Cadotte Lake.

31-year-old Marvin Nahachick Jr. perished as a result of the blaze. The investigation remains ongoing.

19-year-old Ramsay Carifelle has been arrested. Besides manslaughter, he’s also charged with aggravated assault and assault causing bodily harm. Carifelle’s been remanded to custody, and will make his next court appearance in Peace River on Monday, May 29, 2017.

Police continue to look for a second suspect, 24-year-old Dylan Moberley-Horseman (pictured). He’s also wanted for manslaughter, aggravated assault and assault causing bodily harm. He is described as 6’4”, First Nation, Black Hair, Brown Eyes, and 249 lbs.

Mounties ask the public not to approach the suspect if they see him or know of where he is, but to call police immediately.
