An investigation continues into a fatal collision north of Fairview on Tuesday, October 24, 2017.
At around 11:08 AM, RCMP responded to two vehicles colliding at the intersection of Range Road 40 and Township Road 824. A pick-up truck was travelling northbound on Range Road 40 when it went through the intersection, when it collided into the passenger side of a gravel truck traveling northbound on Township Road 824.
The 78-year-old driver of the pick-up truck was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the gravel truck was taken to the local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say that weather and road conditions don’t appear to have been factors in relation to this incident.
The name of the 78-year-old man is not being released.
