Northwestern Alberta has some freezing rain coming into the area on Wednesday.
It crossed the British Columbia border in the morning, and it’s set to move further east this afternoon. But, intermittent freezing rain or ice pellets, according to Environment Canada, could possible continue into the evening.
The freezing rain could cause surfaces like highways, roads, walkways and parking lots to become icy and slippery, meaning that motorists and pedestrians need to adjust to the changing road conditions.
Officials say the warnings could be expanded as more freezing rain develops.
