Golf season is almost here with courses getting ready to open.
Lee Hunt from the High Prairie & District Golf Club says their course will provide a challenge to golfers.
“When you come out to the High Prairie & District Golf Club, you’re going to see a well manicured 9 hole grass green golf course that has Iroquois Creek meandering through it. We have a couple of signature holes with an island green. We support some of the best live greens in the north country, it’s a very challenging course with a very helpful staff.”
High Prairie will open this weekend and other courses are expecting to open in the next few weeks.
Hunt says there are a couple of signature holes on their course.
“Hole number 5 which is a 390 yard par 4. It has an island green so it’s a safe tee shot with water on your right, but when you approach the green there’s water surrounding it. It’s a very eye catching shot and it usually puts a little bit of pulse into the golfer when he’s standing over there with no ground between him and the flag stick.”
