The second stop on the KIX FM and River Country Golf Tour makes its way to the 5 star Golf Club located near Falher, Alta. on July 13, 2021. Golf Course Manager Tammy Laflamme talked about the course and all the great stuff that 5 Star has to offer to anyone stopping by.
Laflamme mentioned the course is hosting an 18 hole couples tournament on July 24, 2021 and is so popular registration is already full but there is a waitlist in case spots open up. Another golf event happening at 5 star is a 2 ball best ball format cash scramble that the course runs in August.
The course has men and ladies nights for only $1 per hole starting at 7 p.m on select days of the week. Laflamme says she would like to see more women come for ladies night as it is loads of fun, inexpensive and the ladies that golf are a great group and are friendly and welcoming of newcomers.
If you’re hoping to fill your belly before, after or during your round, the restaurant at the course offers homemade burgers, soups and the chicken cesar salad wrap is a very popular menu item.
If golfing is not your cup of tea, 5 Star also offers campsites and Laflamme says the campground is always busy during the summer months and has plenty of exciting areas to explore and relax.
