The Heart River Golf Course in Nampa held their open tournament over the weekend.
In the men’s category, Ryley Gacek of Peace River defeated Joe Mayowski of Drayton Valley. Gacek finished with a 154, four strokes ahead of Mayowski’s 158. In third place was Falher’s Dustin Turcotte, who finished with a total of 161 stokes.
Heading over to the ladies’ tournament, Judy Hamelin of High Prairie won with 184 strokes. That put her three strokes ahead of Sexsmith’s Brenda Sandboe at 187. Joanne Bekewich of Nampa finished in third at 194 stokes.
And over to the juniors, local boy Trenton Rondeau was the winner with 208 strokes. He was followed by Drayton Valley’s Matthew Mayowski, who finished with a total of 223 strokes.
