High Level RCMP makes arrest in property crime investigation
High Level, Alta. – On March 21, 2025, High Level RCMP received a complaint stating that a stolen vehicle was currently at a residence in Paddle Prairie Metis Settlement, Alta. RCMP members attended the residence and the vehicle fled the scene, to be located soon after, leading to the arrest of the occupant. A search of the vehicle after the arrest revealed a firearm.
As a result of the investigation, Colin Letendre (46), a resident of Paddle Prairie Metis Settlement, was charged with:
- Driving a vehicle while under the influence;
- Failure to stop;
- Possession of stolen property over $5000;
- Dangerous driving; and
- Firearm-related offences (x5).
Letendre was brought before a justice of the peace and released on bail. He is to appear at the Alberta Court of Justice in High Level on April 7, 2025.
