High Prairie School Division is the recipient the 2024 Alberta School Board Association (ASBA) Community Engagement Award.
This award recognizes a school board that effectively involves stakeholders in decision-making processes.
In 2023-24 school year, the HPSD of Trustees and Superintendent Murray Marran implemented a new engagement strategy, including community consultations and surveys, to refine the Division’s mission, vision, and core values.
Board Chair Joy McGregor expressed pride in the feedback received, which helped drive positive change.
Superintendent Marran highlighted the success of the engagement process in aligning the Division’s goals with community values.
